Commerce department was established in 1964. Commerce department is the Pioneer department of this college. It has been imparting Commerce Education to the women folk for the last five decades, both at Diploma and Degree levels. Tha pass outs of Commecrce department have a pool of job oppertunities as commerce is the part of each and every organization be it a technical Firm,a trading organazation, a manufacturing concern, a Hospital, a bank etc. The Department of Commerce offers one certificate course, D.com (IT) and one Degree Program i.e. B.com (IT). The duration of both courses is of two years.

First Year is called C.com and Second year is called D.com. All examinations are conducted under Punjab Board of Technical Education, which issues the Diploma upon successful completion of the course. This Diploma course {D.com (IT)} is equal to F.A / I.Com. Apart from Urdu, English, Islamiyat, and Pak-studies, the students are taught subjects like Accounting, Banking, Shorthand + Type writing, IT, Economics and Commerce. It is a post matriculation course, and pass-out can get admission in B.com, B.A, and B.B.A.

B.Com deaprtment had been established in 1994 in affiliation with University of the Punjab. Forward Academia linkages for B.Com are M.Com, M.B.A, M.P.A, I.C.M.A and C.A. Moreover, job market for B.Com studenst is also wide open.
